Well motivated and skilled assessors are central to the success of any selection and development process. We train managers and other staff to understand the mechanics of the processes we design and to develop the personal skills required to assess fairly, effectively and efficiently.
Our modular Assessor Training programme comprises three elements:
Module 1: Assessing Performance
A foundation module focusing on core assessment skills, in the context of selection and development events, and as applied to everyday people and performance management. Includes a strong emphasis on working with the realities of human bias.
Module 2: Structured Interviewing Focusing ondeveloping good interviewing skills through practice and feedback. Includes also an overview of current and impending legislation governing interviewing and assessment practice in the UK.
Module 3: Scoring Workshop
A module tailored to the specific assessment exercises being used, such as role plays and case studies. Designed to build assessor skill and confidence. Includes getting to know the exercises and building scoring consistency between assessors.
